Students and teachers have selected poems and prose surrounding the theme of Virtues such as courage, honesty, compassion, work, loyalty, and friendship. Grades 2-8 will be judged on expression, platform presence, and clarity. All selections are to be memorized. Each class will be preparing in some way in the classroom, but please allow for practice time at home. Each student will receive a ribbon in accordance with their performance. All parents and other family and friends are invited to attend all or any portion of the meet, as well as the special dessert and ribbon ceremony to follow the lunch and recess hour. A specific itinerary will be sent out in the next few weeks.
